COTEK is ready for UKCA mark ! Are you?
Since 31st December 2020 the UK is no longer part of the European Union.
A direct consequence of this move is the requirement and introduction of the UKCA mark to products put onto the UK market. This new UKCA mark is in addition to the CE mark currently required for the European Union.
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, known as ‘new approach’ goods.
The UKCA marking came into effect on 1 January 2021. However, to allow businesses time to adjust to the new requirements, you will still be able to use the CE marking until 1 January 2023 in most cases
UKCA mark update & when is UKCA marking required
Per UK Government’s announcement, UKCA mark will be needed for products being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), substituting the EU requirements for CE Marking (CE marking will continue to be accepted in Northern Ireland).
To avoid possible import issue, Cotek took actions to add UKCA mark to all the standard product series before its effective date on 1-Jan-2022.
